I took a 2 day dinghy sailing course in Ripon, North Yorkshire, but spent 90% of the time capsized. Dinghy sailing is tougher than it looks, so congratulations to you.
Are you sure you didn't have a dodgy dinghy?
I did such a course with the army sailing association when in Cyprus for six weeks back in 1973, I was a sixteen year old soldier. We did capsize drills, but we had to force the thing to end up on it's side at least. The qualification was called 'C class helmsman' I think and I got a card to go with it, but I never built on it. Here is a piccie of me doing the canoeing course on the same tour...weren't I cute then?
