Just for slider adjustment Ted so yes you'll need the remote tank.

K2-K6:
Parity of slides based on vacuum measurement of the intake tract between the slide and piston/combustion  chamber.

Yes, access to top of carbs necessary, unless you belong to the magic circle  ;D in which case you need a black cloth  :)

Chance to initiate your remote fuel supply definitely.

BiL says via WhatsApp he has a set of gauges - told him not needed for a few months as amongst many other things I have no exhuast system atm.

If Sealey have a stand at Stafford they usually offer 'show special discount' on their tools. DSS usually offer free postage at shows.
