They came fourth in the last leg and lie 10th overall in the total race.

Looking at the crew roster it looks like there are 65 people on board but of course a boat that size couldn’t accommodate that many I’d imagine so it looks like they rotate the crew with some of the crew only doing 1 leg and then going home, whereas Phil seems to have signed on for 3 legs and misses the next leg before joining again for his last leg, leg 8. A few of the crew have signed on for the full race.

That's right. IIRC each boat has 12 crew on each leg.

Yet, if you count crew members in the pics of the boats you can see between 16-20 of them on deck, unless these pics were taken on training exercises of course, before the actual race.

We won the Australia to Vietnam race…..around 5000NM.

Next race is Vietnam to Zhuhai in China.

We have a crew of around 17 working 4 or 8 hour shifts. Eg approximately 8 persons on deck, the rest sleeping or doing other chores below deck.

Thanks guys. I’ll try to upload some photos when I have a decent internet connection.

Just had a slap up meal and lots of beer. First time a meal has cost me over a million?

Lots of small Hondas here….but nothing over 90cc.
