Needing some CB750K choke linkages

(1/2) > >>

royhall:
Hi. I still haven't managed to get the CB750K5 on the road yet due to carb issues. The carbs were rebuilt by Gerben in Holland and he has made a very poor job of it. They look great on the outside but the actual workings, not so much. I sent the carbs to Matt Harper in Cheshire who has found a long list of issues. The latest he has found is mismatched lever choke lever arms with carb 1 arm being 5mm shorter than the other three. He thinks that No.1 is the correct length and the other three are off K0 carbs. This mismatch causes the choke pushrod to foul on the cable quadrant and does not operate carb 1 choke correctly.

My question is. Does anyone have a spare 4 piece set of choke lever arms for a later model 750. I hope the pictures show what I'm looking for better than words.

If anyone can help out with this I would be most grateful. Also take as a warning that Gerben ain't so hot on carbs, in fact he should pack it in. I have a list of faults that Matt has found that's makes me wonder how the bike even started in the first place. Thanks for the help.

Nurse Julie:
Roy, there is a high probability that Graham has some of those. He also has a spare set of K0 carbs here that he can measure. Leave it with me until later or tomorrow and I'll report back.

That's great Julie. Cheers.

K0 ones measure 40.40mm, K2-6 measure 38.95mm Roy. If they are of any use to you, I can send them direct to Matt if it helps. PM me if these are the bits you need.
