Insurance
« on: May 19, 2025, 04:09:35 PM »
My insurance is due for renewal and a friend pointed out to me that I would struggle to find another usable SOHC4 for £1200 which is what I currently have it insured for.

Before I take out my renewal, what do we think is a reasonable insurance amount for me to give to the insurance company?  1974 UK 500/4, good working condition, low mileage, oily rag scruffy condition.

Why not see if the insurers do an agreed upon price policy.

Check with Peter James

They do agreed value

I suggest £3,999 as a start

thank you, good idea.  I've been looking online at ones for sale and surprised how little one can get for £1500, basically, a box of bits.

I think I will start at £3999 as you say John.  Although cosmetically challenged, all the important bits have been sorted out, really happy with it.
