Christmas Books
« on: December 10, 2010, 09:10:54 PM »
I need a Christmas pressie for myself. I thought I read somewhere about a CB SOHC book - maybe an Osprey publishing one, but I can't now find anything similar.

Does that ring a bell for anyone?

Osprey and motorcycle stuff rang a bell with me, but I have had a good look myself and they only seem to do military books. I could suggest my own work as featured below, but as the title suggests it doesn't have much to do with motorcycles! (Well there is one bike in it, but that's all)
And as soon as the garage is above freezing for more than a few hours I'm going to tear the CB engine to bits. I am getting restoration withdrawal!

Hondaman's CB750 book is the result of years of experience and work on his part. It is self-published.
You can see it here

Search for "My CB750 Book" or click the link in the news panel above.

Sorry if I'm getting to this a bite late on.

Osprey were the original publishers of at least one of Roy Bacon's books - Honda: The Early Classic Motorcycles.  It's not 750 specific, but it is a good guide to how the company got started and the bikes from '47 to '77 (up to the early Goldwings) , together with chapters on Honda's early involvement in racing.  Osprey only seem to have published one or two runs in and around 1985; there was a reprint run by Niton (appears to be a Bacon enterprise) in 1996, but that's about it.

If you can find one - which ain't easy - expect to pay upwards of
