Exhaust studs issue

I thought the lengthy rust prone exhaust studs 'on the 400/4' were a buzzing fly and plain got on with it. But seeing the genuine ones on the DSS site I realise I've detected what might be another home made part some bum down the owners list added. The rear brake rod and speedo cable grommet on the front fender are other homemade things I inherited from this bodger. 
These things are 2 1/3 inches long, does anyone know the length of originals?
I'll get a set somewhere along the line but at £55.00 a full set it will have to wait a month or two, other priorities first, I might take the trouble to cut these back a bit for now (maybe  )

I have been known to do similar but at least using stainless, the part number may give you an idea of length, not sure.

On cmsnl it gives 90044377000 as the part number and says 6x47, looking at parts diagrams tells you a lot if you search before asking!
