Hi all,
It's the Classic Bike Night tonight at Wray and it coincides with Wray village Scarecrow festival. We had a look round the village yesterday in glorious sunshine. The pictures show just 2 of the hundreds of exhibits

Hi Mick,
Both Tomb and myself were looking out for you but obviously missed you again.
Things were a bit manic tonight with the highest turnout ever. I left early ready to finish packing for a 4 day trip to Scotland on the bike in the morning. Next month should be a bit quieter. See you then.  ;)

Probably not get there this month Bill, sorry.

I'm getting the bike ready for the annual Euro rally, Genk in Belgium this year. Panniers to fit and bit of servicing, spare cables and such to sort out, though the worst crap to sort out is all the paperwork, ins  ...E111 card, ferry, passport, €€€€€'s (beer tokens ;))

Monday night Hull ferry Yeehaaaaa

Hi TomB,
Watch out for the breathalyser checks on the quay when you leave the ferry.
Enjoy your trip.  ;D

I hope the weather improves - I'm suffering from 'cabin' fever with all the rain. >:(

Wray Village Classic Bike Night this Thursday (5th) starting at 7.00pm till 9.00pm.
I hope the weather improves - I'm suffering from 'cabin' fever with all the rain. >:(
I left Kendal in sunshine to find it was raining at Wray. It got steadily worse during the evening with a torrential downpour which lasted for quite a long time. Deep water was cascading through the property opposite, flooding the road and sweeping across the cafe outside seating area. A few bikes were abandoned for the night by their owners.
Eventually I left after declining a kind offer of a lift home by car.
Safe navigation at 9.00pm in the dark was possible only by riding slowly in the middle of the road following the 'cats eyes' showing under deep water and reflected in my headlights. I arrived home soaked to the skin through my waterproofs. See a short video of the rain at http://s1252.photobucket.com/albums/hh578/meerkat253/Moving%20pictures/
See you all next month ?  ;D

I got home from work in sunshine, got something to eat quick telling my missus I wanted to get out quick,

she said "you'll be lucky, its forecast really heavy thunderstorms and severe weather warnings for tonight"

"Nah, bollox" says I, "I'm going". Ten minutes later it was hammering down with rain, I considered waterproofs but went to the pub instead  ;D ;D  Looks like it was a good choice.

Hats off to you Bill. 8)
