New rear mudguard
« on: March 12, 2012, 01:27:41 PM »
I see DavidSilver is doing a pattern rear guard now. I've been after one for years. Gotta start saving. :(
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.

yes Les i have seen them on their website, but they are 350/4 replicas and they need an adapter plate to fit the 500/550s. Price isn't too bad so better than a rusty one!
Love the 500 and 550 have a 500 called Lazarus under restoration

It amazing what people will pay for these. I sold a pretty tired one for a 400/4 on eBay recently. It was  ropey / painted under the seat but the visible bits were ok'ish. I was totally honest about the description with good photos. It went for £27 + postage from memory!
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

Some great guys on the US forum. I'm getting a great rear guard delivered to my door for $35.
