Rear brake linings
« on: July 28, 2012, 08:15:36 PM »
Looked at mine today and they seem a bit down (about 3.5mm thick) Anyone know how thick new ones are before I replace?

Cheers

Never mind that mate have had a few sets come unglued with age/moisture and that locks the wheel up, for the cost i'd change 'em

Thanks Bryan, I was not aware of that problem.

Mine worked fine a couple of weeks ago, I took out the back wheel to sort the swinging arm bushes and now the brake does not work.  :-\ I really cannot see what has changed, so looking at shoes. Makes no sense, but I am probably overlooking the obvious (not much there to be honest, I must be having a blond moment)  ::)

If you took the swing arm out is the operating arm in the right position?

I hope so. Put it in front of the swinging arm, where it could move freely.

Going to have another look and perhaps it will dawn on me. Must have done something very silly
