Most insurance companies will do the vin number but only for one month then they want a reg or you loose your premium so make sure it will pass MOT and you have time to do the registration bumf before you arrange insurance, in fact might even be worth trailering to MOT

K1's go for good money now. Mine is insured for £7.5K and agreed by Carole Nash.
Yours looks pretty tidy from what can be seen, so go for something extravagant. They will probably want 4 photographs of the bike. one from each angle.

Wish you well

Can you take a couple of pics inside DSS please? If there is anything worth picturing.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.

i run a 1970 CB750k0 with a set of 341 exhausts ,(first set i ever bought £60 each lol the good old days)they are not as loud as the 300 pipes and because i still use the 4into1 cable carbs with 120 main jets, they do tend to run a bit rich around town when pottering about,i will try smaller jets one day,but it ain't that much of a problem really,to be honest i would not drill out the exhausts,my 300 pipes are really noisey and after a long ride my head is ringing  ;)

Dunno if I'm the only one, but I'm beginning to wonder how many different shape side stands there were through the early K series.

I have a similar issue to Green - when folded up, my K2 side stand sits just short of touching the 341's.  Although I've got a rubber stopper fitted, the stand is nowhere near touching it; it looks to be about half an inch or so short, and to confuse matters further, has an outward bend on it.  Consequently, it gives the bike a very strange lean angle (50-ish degrees), which has always struck me as kinda scary.

Am I right in thinking the K2 stands should essentially be straight - and tubular?

@chauffeur  i would say that your sidestand is bent lol, it should be exactly like the one bitsa posted ,although they do wear a bit on the bolt hole, they should never be over as far as 50 degrees. take it off and bang it flat
