1978 F2 Parts questions

Hi Guys,

Anyone know if these fork stanchions will fit my 78 F2 ? - Proper part number is - 51410393003 . these items are pattern parts on Ebay -

28106300000 - Shaft for Starter pinion gear
28109300000 - Washer for above

Anyone have either of these spare that I can purchase?

Hi Daz,

Sorry no one seems to have replied but I guess it means that no one knows for sure! I have had a look at those fork tubes and all I can tell you is they don't look the same as my F1 ones ( they look different around the lower end ) I personally, would either source them from someone who can guarantee they fit or, if the old ones are not 2 bent have them re chromed and ground ( last time I looked I think that would cost around £150 and leave you with better chrome quality. You pays your money .........

Sorry don't have those other parts spare, perhaps a post in the 'wanted' section?

Hi Daz.
The shaft you are after is available new from cmsnl.com 7.50 euro washer no longer available.Cant help with the fork issue but if I find anything while surfing I will let you know.Update found this in Germany I know its only one but ones better than none but its complete f2 leg.EBay number 370507310108 50euro and he writes in English so maybe he can help you out.

Hi dazm,

I have a shed load is spares, literally. I started this forum many moons ago and due to other commitment interest waned and Steve picked it up. Every now and then come back to see how it is going, and I have to say I'm impressed.

If you're interested PM me, and I'll let you know what I have but it's along the lines of a complete F1 and 3/4 of an F2 as I used it to for a dual disc conversion for the F1. I do need to clear my shed out so any reasonably offers will be considered.
