Thanks for the clarification. Has anyone ordered from or know anyone who has ordered from OhioCycle? No credit cards and they only accept money orders or cashier checks???

Today I had a look through my bits and bobs box and found some fibre washers that seem to fit very well on my tap, I have left the tank off overnight to see if it leaks, but looks dry up to now. Now these are generic fibre washers so I might be able to get some more if I can remember where I got them from! Will post again as these will be pence rather than pounds!

mickwinf, the originals are very thick and have an unusualy small OD. Generics tend to split later on as the are thin and deform when fitted

well they almost worked! Still got a slight drip though much better. Bryan the od seems ok, I might try using 2 on each screw and see what happens.

Mick, if you have a hydraulic shop nearby try some 6mm "Dowty" washers---they are the ally ones with rubber inserts. I had some luck with those on No 36 till the scroats torched it

Will they not accept a couple of $10 bills Bob? It's not like it's a lot of money and if you did lose it I'd be happy to compensate you.

Sorry for the delay in responding it's been busy here. If we're sure re: the part number, how many are we talking about? I'll check it out and let you know after you specify the quantity.

using 2 washers on each screw and making sure to tighten enough seems to have done the trick, time will tell!

I'll arrange ordering twenty (20) 16993-011-000 today. I'll keep you posted. You might want to send me your shipping address and I'll turn around and reship ASAP.

Say 20 Bob, don't know if they'll have that many. If not buy as many as they have in stock. 20 will supply 10 members with the new washers which is as many as I foresee needing them.

Just an update. Received notification today that they have shipped to me. I'll let you know when they arrive.

It would seem so, no indication they had to modify the order in any way.

An old one this.
Sealing washers for the two 6mm screws for early 750/500 petcock.
Oddjob, do you still have any of these washers that you got from the US? Were they good and better than just fibre washers.
£20 for 4 washers from DSS!
