front brake calipers
« on: March 18, 2013, 01:29:13 PM »
I need to replace seals on my front calipers, but i have discovered that my k2 bike has a dual disc conversion, but the calipers look like F1. with caliper fixing bolts on outside. but the discs are smaller in dia than std k6, so could it have 55o discs calipers, can anyone help what seals do i buy. nobody seems to list piston dia's etc

Hi Andy - it's been a while!

Do you still have the Seeley?

If the discs are smaller than 750K2, then they are almost certainly 550 discs and calipers (I have a 550 disc and caliper on my 750F1 due to some scumbag stealing my F1 caliper off the bike, and F1 calipers being near impossible to find in useable condition! :'() I can't remember the exact diameter of the piston, but someone on here will know (Bryan J?) but I do know that the 350 four, 400 four, 500 four and 550 fours all use the same caliper and pistons/ seals, so if they are 550 they're easy to source ;D

But NOT the 750F1, that seal is fractionally larger, and 3 times the price! >:(
