1981 CB650 Cam Chain Guide
« on: March 17, 2013, 02:11:23 PM »
I'm hoping some kind soul out there can help me. I'm in the process of re-building an '81 CB650 and when stripping the engine found that the Cam Chain Guide has snapped in two. I've searched the net, checked out dealers and even tried Hollend and the US to try to find this piece but Honda, in their wisdom, have discontinued this and I'm just hitting brick walls every where I try. The part number is 14611 426 010 and its all I need to get the old girl back on the road.
Anyone got any ideas???

Hi Norniron,
Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately nothing listed is actually the correct piece so I'm still stuck

Promoter,
Can you post a photo of it as there is a massive breaker where I live and the next time I go there I will look for you.Albeit it will be used but like the french say secondhand is better than none.
I hope this is of use to you.
Cheers

Hi Bitsa,

Thanks for the offer - I can only find copytighted pics on google so better not post but I'll photograph my (two bits of) guide when I'm home at the weekend and post on Saturday.

And he's lost.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.
