All back together
« on: July 14, 2013, 07:32:04 PM »
As some of you might know from the USA site I had a bit of a lock up at 30ish mph ?
The chain guard  got eaten by the front sprocket and jammed solid....this is the aftermath

The link below tells the story of the bike

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=118045.0

So after finding out all parts were obsolete and with much thanks to Bryanj I managed to make a new push rod and sort the cable attachment out as they took the most beating?

So I was left with just a chain gaurd to sort out..I tried an standard plastic one on I had spare and it just didn't look right .....I couldn't see one on the net that I thought would do the job and I definately did not want to spend any money on the wrong one....
So I thought I would have ago at making one???
So from this

To this?

To finally this?

I was happy until I saw the final picture and now I think it looks abit low at the front .....so I might have to jack it up abit.....but I like the fact it's a solid connection as it seems that was the weak point on the last one

So now after the best weekend we have had I'm back on the road
