HI,
Has  anyone out there recently found a supplier of the 12v 3.4 watt speedo/rev counter bulbs, I am struggling to find the right ones at a reasonable price.

There is an Indian company selling these on Ebay.com.

Hi Lecram,
Thanks for the reply, have checked ebay and a company in India are selling bulbs that fit,in a multitude of colours including clear, minimum multiples of 10, I was rather hoping someone out there had recently bought some in the UK, I see Wemoto have them with the mounts, surely the bulbs must be available somewhere in the UK, there are plenty in America as well.

Hi,
I have found several sources now for the bulbs, or is it lamps? but what concerns me is not a slightly bigger wattage but the physical size of the things, the modern equivalents are longer than the original honda (toshiba) ones.

A slightly bigger wattage can cause some overheating problems.
The bulbs from DSS are the right ones and perfect for your speedo

Hi Lecram,
It looks as though D Silver it is, but it does hurt when the later longer versions of the BA9S lamp are 10 for £3 including postage-thanks

Hi Lynx,
Sorry to say I have 10 of those in a box, I found that when fitted in the holders, the total length was equal to the depth of hole in the speedo/rev. counter, and the tips were just touching a green plastic? surface inside, so was not prepared to risk some "singeing" but thanks anyway. ended up with DSilver ones, two off came in a 50mm by 450mm by 150mm box of stuffing, but at least they didn't rattle their way here!

I have some of the correct ones, not new but all checked and working. The illumination of these gauges was never great but having a clean glass on the inside makes a world of difference. PM if you are stuck.

Hi Trigger. Ah crap, I didn't notice that. Well it does say temporarily. So hopefully they will be in soon. Actually I used the same as you (as my previous post) but Ka-Ja said they touch the speedo dial?? Mind don't.

I have dozens of them, used. Really.  The stubby ones and the longer ones.  £1 each.
