tyres and exhausts
« on: December 04, 2013, 07:44:28 PM »
Hi all, hoping you can help? I am looking for tyres and an exhaust system for my CB750F1 and looking for tyres and an exhaust system. This may be a can of worms, but has anyone got some suggestion as to what to put on? possibly a stainless exhaust system if costs allow.
thanks for your help

Tyres are a very subjective discussion on here! My personal choice for my 750F1 are Avon Roadriders, 120/90x 18 rear and 100/90x 19 front. As regards exhaust, I only know of the Motad system, which does tend to bog the engine down quite noticeably at high revs, sorry, don't know of any suppliers in stainless for them ;D
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

Motads don't do any bogging if you ram a big drill up it's ass.  ;D
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.

I bought the tyres from DS standard pattern tread yet to see what there like,as for the exhaust I bought Carpys one from the US nice quality I had it ceramic coated black but he does a nice stainless one nowpretty cheap for stainless aswell, it's pretty much a yoshi replica also there are stainless yoshi replicas on eBay,they sound really nice I've had to up the jets because I'm running single pod filters cheers.

I have done this with a Motad (http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php?topic=2257.0)

I still don't really like the look of them though...
