Rode the little Honda CB175 today....
« on: January 11, 2014, 04:43:47 PM »
Took the little Honda out for a run today, odd little thing....quite different to what i`m used too. Front brake is excitingly inadequate, the rear brake doesn`t much  :o

The Beamish Trial will be an interesting 120miles  :-\

I don't do brakes on small bikes Bash it through the box
I love riding small bikes you have to think about what your doing and were your going and all at half the speed.
It's surprising how far you can go on a small bike
Current bikes
Honda CB750k1 Valley Green Metallic
Honda CB750k1 Candy Gold
Honda CB550k Candy Jade Green
Honda CG125
Aprilia Pegaso 650

As you've probably found out already, the CB175 is a cracking little bike, loves to be revved to the red line, actually seems to thrive on it ;D, capable of 80+mph even two up, and handles really well. In fact I'd go as far as to say that in town traffic they can make a 750 look rather silly. The only word of caution I have is change the oil regularly, no more than 1000 miles between changes, 500 miles is better, they don't hold a lot so it soon gets dirty. Enjoy riding it, and if you set the front brake up properly it should be almost as good as a cb200 front disc brake. ;D ;D
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

With good shoes, cable and set up properly the front brake should be good as its a TLS
