Rear Wheel Cush Drive

My rear wheel cush driver rubbers are rock hard and have play on them. Has anyone tried replacing these? Looks nigh on impossible!
Yamaha RD500LC
Triumph Speed Triple RS.

burn the rubber out then cut a grove in them tap a screwdriver down them and they will pop out well mine did

yeah,proper mare these,the rubber I drilled and gouged out,the metal case around it took longer but its do-able,and there's 4 of them aaaarrrgh !!! slowly,slowly,catchy monkey,good luck.

I still haven't attempted it yet. I'll probably have a go in the Winter. I can imagine it's a mare.
