Age certificate?
« on: June 04, 2014, 08:51:09 AM »
Anybody know who I should contact to get a certificate of age? I've phoned Honda but the girl didn't seem to know what I was after, she promised to get someone to call me, but I've heard nothing.

I believe North Leicester Motorcycles can do them (Stuart Mayhew).

You need to badger Honda for a "Proof of Year of Build" letter. If you use any other dating service DVLA will want to inspect the bike at your cost, if you use manufacturer they don't inspect.

If you are willing to send me the frame number i will look in my US ID guid and see if it gives a hint

Thanks Bryan, I have found an address for the Honda "Year of manufacture" dept so I'm sending them a letter and a cheque for 30 quid this morning.

I'm currently battling to get some sense out of the Honda YOM service, my 72 came back as a 77 with a spurious F inserted by them into the chassis number, have written back with loads of info and pics of the frame no. emailed, phoned, but no progress report in over a month....
