float hight

for my K6 750 the float hight is 26mm some say from the gasket face some say the lip.

as I am about to remove my carbs and chek what is the consencus on here please?

Billy,
I have heard and read lots about this and like me using a Honda gauge as you can see from your link photos its impossible to get the tool LEG in between the ridge of the carb and float making the measurement from gasket surface real hard to do if again impossible using the Honda gauge.Conclusion if its good enough for Honda then that's the way.I have done mine that way and she runs fine.

i will set 26mm from the lip. it has to be better than what i have.

Just to refresh my head just checked you measure from the cut out on the carb body see pics and these are 2 different sets.

just finished the job and yes i measured from the cut out. fingers crossed i will give it a quick ride weather permitting and see.
