Glenn has 10,000 members. If there's any chance of new production we could easily join forces.

I suppose DSS would have the buying power to warrant a substantial order but I won't contact him unless everyone is happy about it. I know the German sites source/manufacture special items and just make them available to club members at the discounted rate (e.g. CB750 SOHC primary drive damper rubbers).
BTW if there is any specialized part which required re-manufacture made of rubber or rubber/metal bonded component I have an ex-colleague who is a Honda owner and also owns a rubber moulding company and also one who analyses rubbers/plastics. He is local to me in East Yorks.

Also  I am almost certain that the CBX1000 uses the same crank shell bearings as the CB750 SOHC

Cheers ... AshD

Is it too late to ask DSS if/when they will be releasing a repro kickstart for the 400/4? I had one on back order at one time but it got cancelled.

No not too late, let's just keep compiling lists of say at least half a dozen or so questions and I will submit.

Hi Ash,

HM341's : Every previous ETA has been exceeded because more and more problems keep presenting themselves. Chinese made moulds, Italian producers, thankfully not my project. I have been led to believe first prototype is almost ready for test fit then we are about 8 weeks away.

Best Regards

quick comment about DSS ,

I ,like most of us ,use them alot, more than I want to,but always the service is great,

I am having a summer refurbish at present , so new air filter ,pads etc,

on removing the rear wheel, I found one brake shoe brake material was 60% unglued,so a quick call to DSS,and about 36hrs later
they arrived,
the part is PH316,

my comment is that the shoes need about an hours work to finish them, the cam end are to wide to fit on the cam,the pivot end ,again
is to wide to allow the fitting plate and split pin to fit,

just minor bug bares, but maybe if the casting is to tighter tolerances,

OK lets get another list together and I can ask him a few questions at the same time. Think he is in the USA sometime this month.
