Seat newly stencilled
« on: August 20, 2014, 10:09:35 PM »
Got the stencil from Piki in Spain, via this forum.

Looks pretty good to me (along with my newly shod wheels). All I need now is a bike to put them on (with an engine that's got some bearings [see other post])!

Cheers,

D.

Looks good. Did you use Brillo leather/vinyl spray ?

Hardest part was deciding the height at which to position it I thought !

DSS should be selling Yamiya seat blank, no logo then we could use a stencil to put the HONDA logo on ourselves.

Thanks all,

There were traces of my old logo remaining which gave me a hint about positioing. I then cleaned that off with WD40 and a rag and washed the area with soap and water before going through the stencil process.

I have no doubt that, depending upon my use of the bike when it's eventually rebuilt, it'll wear off again, but it's pretty easy to do again if it came to that eventuality.

Cheers,

D.

... and Piki's service in delivering the item promptly and suitably packaged was, in my experience, excellent.

Cheers all, glad this thread has turned out useful.

I know this is a VERY old thread but has anyone got any suggestions for the colour & type of paint to use when creating the Honda seat logo?
