Classic TT 2014
« on: August 30, 2014, 05:48:43 PM »
Just back from the Classic TT. Been to all the races, all the VMCC stuff, and generally all over the island. All been good except for one very strange thing, I did not see one single CB750 of any flavour anywhere on the island. Are CB750's getting rare or does nobody actually ride them anymore. I'm probably as guilty as the rest as mine stayed in the garage whilst I went on a CB1300.
Current bikes:
TriBsa CCM 350 Twin
Honda CB350F in Candy Bacchus Olive
Honda CB750F2 in Candy Apple Red
Triumph Trident 660 in Black/White
Triumph T100C
Suzuki GS1000HC
Honda CB450K0 Black Bomber
Honda CB750K5 in Planet Blue Metallic (Current Project)

;) I saw a 1970 red CB750k0  at the 96 tt  it was the icing on the cake for me as I went to see the fireblades rule at the reintroduced production race  8) and we went on a fireblade Lol and they was everywhere and yes I'm as guilty as you, my CB750's stayed in the garage also
I wouldn't mind going to the tt classic next year on one of my CB750's

I went and have to say I say quite a number of CB750's. At Jurby on Sunday - 1 x CR750 rep / various road bikes in bike park. Saw the road bikes again and others in Douglas Monday morning.

Some great Honda kit out there both genuine classics and some super "look a likes" using more modern motors CB400/4's and much newer CBR250/4's.

Great event, very relaxed and I could relate to the bikes unlike most modern stuff!

One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....
