Which colour blue is it???
« on: September 04, 2014, 04:54:23 PM »
Hi All,
Down to the final part of my on-going project CB650z.
The lip of the tank has some surface rust and has spread up a little in places so I cant just prime and cover it with some chrome trim. I have tried to find the correct colour down at my local paint shop going through swatch after swatch. Thought I had found a good match, Toyota 8Q1 but doesn't look right when its on so I will have to do it again.
I have found a place online but they list 3 colours.. Candy Tanzanight Blue, Candy Sapphire Blue and Candy Flair Blue Pearl.
Before I take a chance with one of the colours, does anybody know which I have by looking at this picture of the side panel??
Cheers!

What year is the bike? I maybe able to match it on that. That doesn't look like a candy.

My book has the same colours that you have listed in blue. The problem with pictures is what i am seeing is not candy.( May look different to the naked eye)  Candy is a 4 coat. First you must etch primer, then a candy base coat, then the top coat and lacquer to finish it off.
Sorry can't help.

Yeah, same what the guy at the paint shop said. He said it was candy so might just have you take a chance with the online shop.

You could be cheeky and ask them for 3 touch up samples. And make a match from one of them.
