Just saying 'Hello'

Nick here, from British Columbia, Canada. I'm a relative newcomer to the CB650, having just bought mine in May. I also have a '71 Commando and a '68 CB175. I needed a 'newer' bike to enable me to do the temporay 1000km 'commute' to a new job I just started, and found the 650, a '79, for sale in the lower mainland.

It was complete, if a little rough around the edges, and as a sign of faith I rode it straight home (about 320km) over the mountains. Since then I have put 9500 trouble-free km under the wheels, only having to replace consumables (rear tyre, chain and sprockets). I always use a Scottoiler on my chain driven bikes, so one of those went on when I did the chain and sprockets.

The riding season here is rapidly coming to an end so I did my last long ride the other weekend, 1000km home, non-stop. Not sure how much more riding I'll get in since I am now back here in the north and the bike is at home!
