It lives!
« on: October 10, 2014, 06:47:57 PM »
A note of success: today, after finally figuring out where my electrics were going wrong, the bike came back to life!  A few kicks, a cough, sputter, and life again after being parked in a shed for 13 years!  Now it starts first kick, I'm amazed!
Having never owned a bike, and having bought this as a non runner, this is one of the most satisfying moments I've had in a very long time.

Thanks to everyone who has helped up to this point, I couldn't have done it alone!

Nice one Mr T. One of the absolute best feelings is bringing one of these old Hondas back to life after a slumber...

great news MrT,but, the motor is just the thing that makes it go,don't forget the brakes, forks, and general suspension,
you want your pride and joy to be a pleasure to ride,

Definitely not forgotten.  I just wanted to know it'd run before really tearing in and getting it up to the task of being a safe and reliable runner.

Video or we don't believe you  ;)

Great news. Heart and soul is what you're giving it. Your SOHC bike is rewarding you in return

As you wish.  :)  I had enough forethought to set up the camera!

Great sound. You don't need to be so violent on the kick start ;)
