CMSNL show originals as M10 x 32

http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb400f-england_model14639/partslist/F01-4.html#results

Many of the fixings have dimensions shown in the parts details so quite handy.  The Honda part number also shows size.

Hagon may be different

Originals had a fine (1.25 thread pitch) normal M10 is 1.5

I would suggest shortening bolt rather than extra washesr, dont forget to file end to tidy and create lead in on threads (taper) but if existing are wrong size and the 32mm are correct on Hagon as well, new bolts are about £2 each from DSS and nice and shiny  :)

Hi,
Fitted Hagons myself, along with their progressive front springs with no problems. The bottom yokes were the correct gap and thread as per originals, easy way is to try the bottom "yoke" for side play against the swinging arm bushes, and try the fixing bolt before finally putting it vall together!----Ken

The bottom yokes of the shocks are a perfect fit actually at the fixing point, no side play at all. I think I will either cut the bolts down or buy some M10x32

I can not be 100% sure because my 400 is in storage but, the 550 and 750 have a chrome bolt for the bottom shock mount.

Buy stainless bolts and polish the heads  - probably cheaper than the Honda OE ones.

Thanks Tom. They look the same size as my Hagons, I think I'm just going to go with a shorter bolts.
Thanks again
