My K2 100% English model... forgive the polished pilot lights housing - now corrected.

The Honda parts diagram (I have) covers all countries, and specifies for the K2 the following colours ....CM, LU, LV, LX, MV..... or Candy Ruby Red, Brier Brown Metallic Custom, Flake Sunrise Orange, Candy Gold Custom & Planet Blue Metallic Custom.

Notably the parts book does not specify the colours being limited to certain countries.... whereas other parts it certainly does.

As a double check I had a look at the Side Panels section .... all the same K2 colours, no stipulated countries.

Hi Guys
Bike started on the button first turn of the motor! Sounds awesome (a normally much over used word but not in this case). I had forgoten what a 4 into 4 exhaust sounds like.
Rode it down the close and very smooth
However, the bikes ticking over at about 3k (very evenly) even though the tickover screw aren't touching the bar. I have my thoughts on where to start but before I start tinkering I thought I'd consult your collective knowledge.
What's your thoughts on where to start first?
Have statically timed the ignition but not used a strobe on it yet as its ticking over too high. Not yet used vac gauges for same reason.
Havn't run it long enough to get accurate plug colour.
Cheers
Phil

Throttle opening cable to tight? About 10-15 degrees of play at the twistgrip is a good starting point, and if it has 2 cables, dont forget they both need some play in them. Well done on getting her fired up though:)):))
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

If the tick over screw is not any where near the bar adjust each slide by 1/4 of a turn lowering the slide and try again sounds to me bench sync, pardon the wording is too high go from there

I forgot to mention - started without choke - never touched choke lever. Needles need lowering a notch?

Dunno start off with the needles in the middle notch but that should not cause high tickover
No choke at all suggests its set mega rich

Ended up tinkering - tick over sorted. How many turns out for pilot screw? Went to check workshop manual but only have original K0 Honda manual (with 4 cable carb info)
