Hunger survey
« on: December 11, 2014, 11:02:02 AM »

"Would you please give your honest opinion about
solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a huge failure because of the following:

1.. In Eastern Europe they didn't know what "honest" meant..

2.. In Western Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant.

3.. In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant.

4.. In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant.

              5. In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant.

6.. In South Africa they didn't know what "please" meant.

7.. In the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.

8.. In England they hung up as soon as they heard the Indian accent.

Brilliant, 14 phonecalls during Saturday, and yes did put it down when we heard the Indian accent
except for the last few when i can't repeat what the misses shouted down the phone at them.
It seems to have worked ;)

Good tip if you get a call claiming to be from Microsoft, about you computer, say you aint got one of them as you think computers are the work of the devil. They hang up pretty damn fast. Other callers have been treated to me just keeping on saying hello in funny voices. I like to have fun wasting their time once they waste mine answering the phone, normally I leave any international or witheld phone number calls for the answer machine.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

I answer politely, ask them to hold on for a moment while I close the door/turn on the light/swith off the kettle........... then walk away  -  they've normally hung up after a couple of minutes  ;D
Cheers, StClair.

I do that too.
Just shut up and see how long it takes them to hang up.

What's the longest they've taken to hang up, Steve?

I managed to get the last one hanging on for 5 minutes before he said 'f you you 'fing bas**ard and hung up, using the hello in silly voices routine, slightly disappointed Ive not had a repeat offender for a few months now as I found it a fun divrsion from child minding. Mid you, our son often beats the machine to them now, so they get 3 year old gibberish, good thing he holds the phone upside down do probably doesn't hear their retort.  ::) I need revenge on these gits, the number of times we were interpreted when re roofing the house anc needed to be near the phone to contact suppliers and came scrambling down off the rooftop to find it was a timewasting sales cold caller.
