Just to make sure there isn't any confusion, Kymco is Taiwanese.
To be honest I've never looked at the engine.   ;D

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Set/sit. Bought/brought FFS. Bloody Americans.

I loved my little gs, not a bad little bike, the front drum on mine was a bit underpowered, I swapped it for a disk braked front end off a later bike which was much better. Handling wise it could be hustled through tight twisties flat out, if you were well used to it, I was riding mine a minimum of 12 miles every day, often going 90 each way to / from collage at weekends and could keep it at 60 virtually all the way from mid Wales the other side of Hereford, only slowing for 30 limmits. The pegs got toutched down in corners reguarly. I doubt I could ride anything that fast anymore. Cracking motors. Same engine is found in some more modern bikes from less known makers though I cannot remember the brand, thd trail bike place had one of these odd make bikes as their daughters first road bike, they decided the resale value was so low they robbed the engine off it for their dr125. Be aware later models might be restricted by the exhaust and or carb to meet noise emissions.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

Here's my other SOHC, it IS an SOHC, and it's a Honda!:)) A hard thrashed daily hack, currently doing 50miles a day 2 up ferrying my daughter to and from school. Needs a wash at the moment, looks filthy from wet and salted roads. Note the rusty silencer, 14 months old, genuine Honda, albeit made in Brazil, which is why I asked Ian from Motad about making some in stainless.
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!
