Plethora of pictures

Is it just me or are there really pictures all around the edges of the text?  I can't read important stuff as it is superimposed over pics and the letters disappear.

Hi Folks,
Yes I did have one of those cheap epods from China - but this is on an expensive proper Apple ipad, probably also from China! This has been fine for a year or more, but I now have the sump extension pic from clouddancer all around the sides and bottom,  Also I have UK petes avatar along the top. 
I tried capturing a screenshot, which also didn't work.

It must be the ipad, as the laptop I've just resorted to is fine.

By coincidence I got an email from a good mate last week with a link to an old guy with an iPad (no, it's not me!)

Too right, there was a tv programme a couple of weeks ago, exposing apple for employing children in china, and an i pad costs less than 5 U.S. dollars to make, and how much do gullible mugs pay for an apple product???
