Apparently folk collect coins, and if a particular desighn is less comon it is worth more to them than face value as it fills the gap in the collection. When I was in school some of my friends collected football stickers or Pogs? Never saw the point myself, but others are equally mystified by why for instance I took a bike 60 miles to a work meeting 2 days ago and didn't take the car with its stereo, heating etc. After all work were paying either way and it was freezing, especially first thing.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock
