F2 Fork slider ribs - removal?
« on: April 24, 2015, 11:33:44 AM »
The F2 forks have a rib cast in front and back which makes polishing a tad difficult, plus they don't look as 'clean' as earlier versions.
I'm thinking of machining the ribs off, what I'm not sure about is whether this would reduce the strength significantly? Earlier models seem to do OK without ribs, I'm thinking it may be for manufacturing ease.
But would value the collective wisdom here....
Cheers.
Pete.

Not too sure mate as the F" had stronger brakes so, in theory, needs more bracing
