Not quite sure what you would call these? Probably cable tidies/guides would sum them up.

Welds all tidied up, and fillets put in.

I knew it was going to be bad after sand blasting and I wasn't dissapointed! lol

Originally the tank was chrome. Been hacked about a bit.

Nice and clean now.

All in the hands of the painter now!  :D

Got my frame back from the painters today, and what can I say! Unfortunately the pictures don't do it justice.
Blue candy over fine silver flake base. Looks stunning in the sunshine. Still waiting for the fuel tank and oil tank. :(

This is one of the builds I've missed keeping up on. Looking great, Mike and right up my street. I'm a sucker for some candy and flake too, coming from the Hot Rod side.  ;D

Really looking forward to seeing this in the flesh. Any idea when it's coming out play?

Hi Pops, things have slowed down a tad, life keeps getting in the way and a 3 week holiday in South Africa hasn't helped. lol :o ;)
I have had to take the frame back to the painter today to just smooth off a few areas I wasn't happy with. I picked up the oil tank as well. Now that has been transformed from what it was. Will do a pic when the sun shines. I am at the halfway point stripping the old paint off the engine ready for re-spraying. Then it's shoulder to the wheel to get it all back together, hopefully be on the road for the next riding season.  8) :)

Hi folks, apologies for the long silence. Just to keep you up to date as to why I have been so quiet, well on 26th of November I lost my business to a catastrophic fire that has basically put me out of business for good. I managed to salvage a lot of tools and machines and have now clogged my garage up to the max. I am currently battling depression as you could imagine. My wife has been so supportive I can't thank her enough. Winding the business down has been very stressful and I can't even phone the people concerned without going into meltdown, my poor wife has had to do everything. Everyday is a great effort for me, even getting out of bed is an ordeal let alone getting my life back on track. Who knows when I will be in the correct state of mind to get the project kick started again but I know in my heart it will be on the road come hell or high water!
Time is a great healer, I just hope it don't take too long!

Cheers
Mike

Oh dear Mike, what a terrible time you have had. I had wondered where you and that stunning coloured frame had gone. Chin up, things can only get better I'm sure. I look forward to seeing you back on the forum real soon and good luck with everything.

Glad things are getting sorted with the help of your wife, she sounds a marvellous woman.

Sorry to hear that Mike, you've had some real bad luck there, sounds a though you have a great partner there!, depression is a real nightmare "the black dog" as winston Churchill called it, lots of forum members have suffered it, me included, a few things to keep in mind are that it is a real physical illness, not just something "in the mind", your seratonin levels are depleted and it's hard for the brain to get them back to the correct level, so if your doc has offered you medication such as fluoxetine  for this all the better, it works by stopping your brain reabsorbing the seratonin that it naturally produces thus raising the level back to normal more quickly, so if you haven't had this prescribed ask why not, your post above shows a fighting spirit despite your current low mood, that's a huge positive, work on that and force yourself to do even the smallest tasks when you don't feel like doing them, it has a cumulative effect and gradually you will climb out of the pit , take all the help offered and then push yourself hard when you feel that you are able to, that's my advice anyway, time as you say is a great healer and your current situation is not nice but definitely only temporary, all the best for now.

That's bad news Mike. Hope you feel better soon. Your wife is a diamond. Mark summed it up very positively, ask for help when you need it. Things will get better sooner than you think. You'll get there and so will the dream bike. I look forward to seeing progress soon. Good luck, keep going and never give up.
