Hello from Switzerland
« on: July 22, 2015, 02:05:16 PM »
Gentlemen and nurses

As a longtime reader I thought it’s time to register and say hello.

At home in Switzerland I bought my 400f in 1986 to get the driver’s licence. A year later, a GpZ 750 came in, but the 400f followed me all over the years – I never gave her away.

The chance to purchase a brand-new exhaust was the start of a full renovation. The bike passed the examination last year without any problem and is now registered as an oldtimer. Had a lot of fun driving it last summer, it feels like 30 years ago – same tics but all-in-all very pleasing [I’m talking about the bike].

As an office-monkey wrenching brings fun in my life. My other bike is also a supersport – 1992 Ducati, the never ending work in progress.

Last word: I’d like to thank everybody here for sharing knowledge, the forum is an incredible source of know-how and know-why. And: please apologize my poor/pidgin English, I hope to be nevertheless understandable.

Daniel

Hi Daniel, and welcome! My memories of driving coaches to Switzerland make me wonder if it is any fun on a bike there, the Police in your country seem to really hate motorcycles. Almost every main road I travelled I saw bikers being stopped and harassed by them, yet they seemed to leave cars alone! Anyway, nice bike, hope you enjoy it on here. ;D
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

I know I know
Nogo with Ducati's 'normal' pipes. That's the reason why normally I cross the border and rev up in France. Lucky to live here where three contries get together.

Hi and welcome.

Those 400/4's run like swiss watches you know!

Trust you are close to the Alps with reference to France. Brilliant fun on a bike.

One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

Boys and Girlz

Thank you so much for your warm reception. I promise to behave properly, if there's something to say i'll post, otherwise my mouth stays closed.

Enjoy the season, wintertime will come sooner we all believe.

Greets, Daniel
