Happy retirement Ian, and thanks for all your help. Is there anybody on here that's not retired or nearly retired. Where's all the youngsters?

No real wish to retire .... enjoy my job too much... but would like a bit more time to get on with the bikes.

Yeah, enjoy the retirement mate. Sadly I have another 30+years to wait for that, and the target age for pensions has already moved 2 or 3 times for me. Make the most of it. Some of the retireees I know just use it to watch jeremy kyle. Urgh! I have about 20 years of work finishing projects once I retire or if I get un employed at some point.
Thanks for your contribution to the forum in your proffessional capacity, and please feel welcome to carry on here in your retirement.

Depends on what kind of day I am having, last job retirement wasn't such an issue, I would probably have carried on doing the odd shift to help keep finances healthy, until it got put under new management, plus the eternal pay freeze started to go to cuts, then I switched careers to engineering from care. More challenging, a lot like my hobbies but more stress, more deadlines so now retirement looks nicer.

Happy retirement Ian. My dad's now been retired for longer than he worked. I've never seen him smile at something so much!

Have a long and happy retirement.  8)
