Don't get too carried away.

The single carb CD was good for...   (what?)

I had a CB175 which would top out at about 80-ish

Maybe 70 isn't too bad.

My first bike was a CD175 and as Steve says 70 is pretty respectable. Lord did I try for more!
One day I'll have the time to restore it, not just talk and dream....

Mine had Dunstalls on it (see photo). Those 360° twins sounded awesome. 10,500 red line too!

Yes I love those buzzy 360° cranks too (there was a version of the CB250/350K in Japan only that had a 360 crank the 'CD' version... one of these days I am gonna get one.) [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Here is a shot of the CD and here is my CB I bought off James along with the 500K0.. Got some better pipes from Japan for it but not restoring it just tidy up and use in the spring. Oh and change those bars   ;D ;D

Love your CB, in that year with that paint I would have a CB over the CD, but later 185 and 200 I don't like as much as my toaster tank.

Great bikes as long as you remember to clean out the centrifugal oil filter under that round plate on the clutch cover---Also put the plate back on right as oil goes through a hole in it into the clutch cover and on elswhwere

So it sounds like I don't have a reference point and maybe I am asking a bit much from the old girl!

I guess I need someone with perspective to ride my bike!
Maybe it's fine after age and mileage (24k) is taken into consideration

I must admit to a soft spot for the CD175, in 1972 I sold my new CB750K2 to get the deposit for a house, to get to work and back I bought a CD175 and had great fun with it, I will never forget coming home from nights, stopping off at the paper shop and roaring off with the side stand down, frightened me to death when I hit the first corner and nearly got thrown off.
