Spoke set suppliers
« on: November 17, 2015, 12:45:32 PM »
Does anyone know a UK supplier of spoke sets.

I'd like galvanised steel to match the back wheel which is in good order, there seems to be lots of suppliers in the USA at about £35, but postage is expensive.

Cheers.

Pete.

Theirs are good but the nipples are not yellow chromate finish to be like standard OEM. You can treat them yourself though, if you are an anorak like me. Gateros plating sell the correct solution to do it.

Ash - do you have a link to the gateros kit - is it a chemical dye process?

it's a chemical process as would have been used if they had been done by the manufacturer. It's a simple dip no electricity but it contains chromic acid and hydrofluoric acid so keepout of the way of the wife and little 'uns and don't let Nurse Julie know you are using it

Fully degrease nipple first .
