thanks, i was thinking of doing it myself using the spare cable in the picture. Actually that could be not the rev but the speedo cable.
how can I tell?

Length is the obvious thing that springs to mind but not sure how different they are. I'd guess the speedo cable is longer.
If you fit a cable in the hole where will it go to? Surely a plug is a much neater and probably better solution as it will properly seal the hole.

The cable fits best with the speedo drive, in the tacho whole its a bit loose.
Anyway, i have contacted the (only?) seller for the blanking cap above but still waiting on an answer.
