Any TIG welders out there
« on: January 01, 2016, 12:38:12 PM »
Does anyone have any experience of this TIG adapter or TIG welding in general?  Just bought one from a friend including  TIG torch for £50 .. Just checking out the internals as it's been unused for yonks and I need to convert it to 240v from 110 (easy just swap transformer windings). Also need to build a DC source but again no problem for me. I want to learn how to TIG weld mild steel < 1mm thick.  Good thing about this unit is it's HF not scratch start.

No instructions but emailed the manufacturer near York and he is kindly emailing me a User Manual on Monday for free.
