Wow, they are impressive John. I bet they cost more than some of the bikes I bought in my long lost past

 my first bike cost me £3,my second was a Fanny B,and cost me a tenner

Only £3 john, my first bike was a KH250 that cost me £25

I went to the Donington Park Festival of Classics on Saturday and, with the exception of the usual nonsense of being turned away at the gate that led directly to the bike park and re - routed via the main entrance over gravel and mud, it was very good.

The standard and number of classic machines (mostly Japanese) on display was excellent (they claimed over 400) as was the display of classic race bikes (some 150, including an original Honda 250 six).

Equally interesting was the bike park, where many more classics were parked. Although there was a full day's racing as well, my brother and I became so absorbed with the displays that we only saw the one race and a parade!

Maybe I did the right thing by getting a Parakeet Yellow one then.

Possibly Chris. My 1st 400/4 that I bought used in 1982 was Parakeet Yellow, just an 'F' model with the rear pegs on the swinging arm and that was what I was really looking for when I bought the current Antares red one. Never mind, I'm a woman, I'm allowed to change my mind 😃😃😃😃

I was really looking for an Antares Red one when I found this one, as that was the colour I wanted back in the late 70s but never got a 400!
But I've grown to like it now and am not sure I'd change it.
