I saw AKO metal polish in Lidl today and thought I'd give it a try, the stuff is brilliant (pun intended).
A bit smoother and whiter than Solvol with really good results.

All depends how much you pay for Autosol ;D I get it trade price @ £1.65 for 100g tubes ;) How much was the Lidl AKO ?
-
Lidl AKO polish Euro 1.99, Solvol from Halfords Euro 6.79, I rest my case m'lud.
Halford don't seem to have their 3 for 2 sale on cleaning products for a long time either.
-
Well, I wouldn't be going to Halfords for it ;D ;D ;D

I use Brasso wadding. When it goes dry in the container I add a squirt of WD40 & it's just like the fresh stuff. Once the polished part is dry it buffs up nicely 8)

only use Halfords in a dire emergency,
use local factorers ,
around here we have TM factors,
also
http://beta.eurocarparts.com/
various parts, oils ,etc at nearly trade prices

Halfords now charging Euro 7.69 for 75 gramme tube today, AKO is 100ml tube, I'll stock up next time I see more than one tube left on the shelf. Also the Lidl dashboard wipes are very good for any plastics on your bikes

Took myself off to my local Lidl today, couldn't see any sign of AKO polish though.
Was this a "When it's gone, it's gone" promotion? Or maybe ROI only?
Do Lidl offers come around every so often, like Aldi?
No trade prices for some of us so have to buy stuff when it is cheap.

I think Lidl & Aldi specials are definitely ' when it's gone, it's gone'. Avoid the garden special days, OAPs will be there on the dot to clear the shelves of all plants and shrubs like locusts.
I was in again this morning for their 'O' ring set, 420 items, 3-50mm sizing, acid, petrol and oil resistant, bargain at Euro7/£6. I won't use them all but I do get through them for various jobs.

Hey!! I object to That.I have never bought gardening stuff!
The tools yes!
They do seem good value
