Bit of an update, made up a gauge and ignition brackets out of 2mm steel bent in a vice with lots of mapp gas, lots of hacksawing and even more filing.  Really happy with the results!

I've fitted led indicators to both front and rear of my 550, the two wire rears work perfectly but I'm having a few issues with the fronts, that is they don't work at all.  Now I think this is due to their three wire set up, I should mention at this point that I also have a new Koso gauge so therefore an led dash indicator.  Am I correct in saying I need to fit diodes and reco figure the current 3 wire configuration?

Great news Ted, I'm not far off getting mine on the road now, just some small tweaks and cosmetics.

I'm trying to fit my new Koso multifunction gauge and daytona speed sensor but have cone across a few queries.  First one, is there a permanent live in the headlight I can tap power from?

The three wires from the speed sensor don't correspond with the three from the gauge, they must be live signal and earth I presume but I've no way of knowing which is which on the koso side so any way of finding out would be great.

Then there is the rpm signal that I'm getting from the coil, the instructions are so confusing I don't understand what I'm meant to be doing here at all.

I got there in the end, it took ages to get air out of the new master cylinder which was made harder because my clip ons have a 15° downward angle on them so air was sitting at the top slightly above the mc piston inlet.  Solved it by rolling the bike up the slope of my drive and putting it on the side stand.

Lesson learned!

That's exactly like mine Mike, pitted below the lower triple by around an inch or so, I think Julie has a good plan there, use it now but send them off during those miserable winter months

I might have stuffed you there Dom, I’ve checked my other ones and I put the kit into the one on the bike that’s on now

My heads a shed it appears, I might have a spare kit and off out to the Shed of Dreams in a bit, I’ll have a rummage

My bad!

It's moving fluid Roo, whether it's under enough pressure though I'm not sure

I've got two other lines of investigation,  first is that I've used a banjo bolt on the caliper but I believe it is short enough that it doesn't bottom out on the caliper. Second is that the mc needs new seals but Roo thought it was rebuilt so I'm kinda assuming that much.

Bleeding brakes!  This is getting annoying now, I've fitted a cbr600 master cylinder to my bike to fit my clip-ons and new braided line direct to the refurbed caliper but do you think I can get any pressure on the lever or movement of the piston in the caliper!

I've bled the mc end and everything I can think of to get fluid to pump through  so I'm at my wits end and asking for help here guys

Perfect Bryan, could I just eliminate the spliced in brown then?

This is the 550F wiring diagram, the two browns connect pretty much immediately in the loom anyway so surely eliminating one or rejoining them will make no difference on a 4 wire switch?  Isn't it just the park position
