Went to fill up with 99 juice at end of a run today, tank just on reserve and stupidly got the pumps muddled up and put about a litre of high spec diesel in.
Quickly realise my error and stopped and filled up with 99 E5
Stemmed to run fine on the 10 miles home
Guess it just got well diluted
Lesson learned 😂😂😂

Hi I just booked for Crich in July can I assume there will be an SOHC area?
How do I notify them I want to be in that area?
Cheers

I have just noticed there is play in my rear swing arm. If I grab the rear wheel I can move the rear arm side to side quite a bit.
I am a bit unsure about how to fix this as both Honda manuals I have are not a lot of help.
Yes I have greased it and yes I have checked the nuts are tight !!!
Any advice on how to proceed much appreciated

Just noticed that if I push rear wheel there is a small amount of play movement in the swingarm.
How much play should there be (I assume the answe is none)?
Is it a difficult job to fix and what parts do I need to buy?
Thanks all

Just after a bit of advice. I volunteer at the RSPCA and we have an old ride on mower with a vertical crank engine that managed to seize solid the crank in the upper housing due to oil pump failure.
The crank runs just in an alloy journal and I suspect that it has just welded itself to the casing.
It is currently in my local machine shop but they are not optimistic as they think that if try to press it out it will just smash up the alloy block.
Sadly this is an old Tecumseh engine and can not get parts.
Just wondering if the whole project is doomed or is there any hope for repair.
Of course cost is a factor here and it may just not be economic in the end

My 500 four K0 starts on second kick in summer but does still need choke.
I don’t really use the bike in the winter but went to the other day and getting it going was an ordeal after it had stood not run in a cold and damp garage for around a month.
I have tried the priming trick, various combinations of throttle position etc but it’s just a pain to start.
Once going and not even fully warm starts on the button.
Carbs are fully rebuilt Gerben units, no air leaks, float levels all bang on.
Fitted with Boyer ign and micro coils.
I have just ordered some new plug caps in case some damp etc is affecting them.
I have tried altering the pilot air screws 1/4 turn either way but no luck.
Is this hard starting just down to not being started for a while and is this usual ?
