It's not always what you've got, it's the way that you wear it!

Project Board / Defiinition of an optimist?« on: March 01, 2023, 11:01:51 AM »
I like to think of myself as a glass half full kinda person but even i'm struggling with this one.
Does this even make the "basket case" category? Anyone on here up for a challenge? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195629197451?hash=item2d8c68a88b:g:0CYAAOSwSlxj~mFo&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkIcLzFVp1GMuXUCq4a%2F9B5MbJS0Fle2bgofn6KayfirvVOTlOiFM4EXmAJtM6Oi%2BH%2BOIOiZ5pSWqMaGrPAdxkAiCS6jq2v%2FESh%2F7hfQEpdrNqge%2FxcbpGy51mC235f3%2BjIYVsst2GV1Cruu6RPEz6r23vem73pRww%2FWOJAX6yx3k2BryZeKudrl4ZoNaEHGXyQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5DU6MzTYQ 4

CB500/550 / Black Hole in Reverse« on: October 27, 2020, 03:24:12 PM »1976 CB550f1 Ok so I finally managed to separate the cylinder head from the welded on gasket and got it onto the bench. After a few twists and turns and summersaults checking the fins, valves and the inch thick grot I noticed these 2 rubber grommets/pucks sitting on the bench. I do have a black hole in my mancave that eats dropped nuts bolts and washers but so far i've never had anything returned from the parallel universe. Can any of you fine people on here offer any suggestions as to where they came from so i can return them to their rightful home before i put the cylinder head back on. Thanks Kenny 10

Nice ride out today. I haven't done many miles this year so it was back to my favourite run along the River Nith to Glencaple. Criffel in the background

I've always meant to stop and photograph my bike beside this in Moffat. It's owned by the local retired doctor who has some very nice classic cars in his garage too. 14
CB350/400 / Re: Brake master cylinder rebuild kit« on: August 11, 2020, 06:33:30 PM »Gently push a very, very fine piece of wire down the return hole. Don't make the hole any bigger than it is, as the system won't work properly. Are we talking a guitar E string thickness or something finer Julie? 15
CB350/400 / Re: Brake master cylinder rebuild kit« on: August 11, 2020, 05:22:10 PM »It wont is the easy answer, i find well over 95% of the masters need to be bled the way i said, also forgot to mention make sure both the holes from reservoir to bore are clear one is tiny Any hints or tips on unblocking the tiny hole in the reservoir? |
