Title: CB750 K0 Piston to Bore Clearance
Post by: StevieWonder on April 26, 2021, 03:29:59 PM
Sorry if this has been listed before. In rebuilding my 1970 CB750, I've gone for 0.50 mm oversize pistons. What is the correct piston to bore clearance?

Depends what make pistons you are using, genuine Honda ones are incredibly well made with a tiny clearance, other makes vary. Make sure whoever does the boring is familiar with Honda's otherwise they will give too much clearance, you'll burn oil and need another rebore and more pistons! Trigger will be along soon, so have your piston make ready to tell him!

Just let Trigger do it, you won't regret it  ;)

Thanks for the advice. I couldn't find any Honda originals, so I have bought a set from David Silver, these however do not seem to have a makers mark.
