Iv done a bit of work to the old girl and thought I'd post up a rebuild thread.
I'm not looking to build a show winner but a tidy bike I can use on a sunny afternoon. I will be doing as much as I can myself, not looking forward to all the polishing that's gona need doing.
Thankfully coming from the dessert there's not really any rust just lots of dirt and dust
So here's a pic of how far Iv got

Looking pretty good Bullit. Is that the original paint after a wash down?

Not entirely Roy. When I cleaned it all down the paint was good but very faded and sun bleached so was very dull. All Iv done is flat it back and given it 2 coats of hammerits smooth aerosol.
The only problem is that it takes ages to dry properly so when weather has permitted over the last week or so it's been sat outside in the sun to try and put some heat in to it.
Those rear shocks have only been wiped down, not polished them yet as need new upper bushes.

Not had chance to update this recently as I'd been busy sorting out my little bike for the last race of the season.
So hear is what Iv been upto. I have cleaned, polished, painted and replaced where necessary all parts of the rear wheel and brake.
Can't decided whether I prefer it with or without the sprocket guard

Front forks cleaned up and now fitted. They do have some pitting but will readdress these after it's been tested.

Does anybody recognise these pipes? Iv not seen the same on any pics Iv come across. Unsure whether the end cones have been added on?

Can anybody tell me what size the brake pipe unions are on the caliper please

Just been out and fitted my new battery tray I had made up by a firm near my work. Weren't expecting him to make it out of stainless, took ages to drill the holes

Can anybody tell me what size the brake pipe unions are on the caliper please
The thread is M10 x 1.25 where the pipe screws in to the caliper.

Thanks Chris. Weren't sure if it was m10 or 3/8.
Iv got to make up a new piece of pipe to fit that caliper.

Evening all. Not been on in a while as Iv been busy.
Got some progress done on the bike. Front wheel completed and mounted, front caliper painted and fitted, the rear wheel also has the tyre on now and the rear brake linkage is sorted.

Also refurbed the clocks myself. Here's a pic of the speedo, will get another pic of them both when mounted
