You sometimes have to look 'out of the box' and eek out parts from places that don't normally deal with us Brits.
e.g. Look what I just got from the 'Land of the Rising Yen'
Don't see these every day NOS and Genuine.

Cheers for the offer Ralph but I a couple of spares anyway.
Bung it on ebay ... you never know, as they can rust quite badly
Cheers ... Ash

I think they are a great little bike,I very nearly bought one from DK not to long ago.
Mick
I DID buy one from DK Mick... Did a deal outside of eBay for less than a grand plus they found the USA title for it at the 11th hour and also threw in some missing bits including the wrong 'G5' carbs which I then sold for over a 100 quid on eBay. Most of the chrome on the DK was immaculate inc. rims, mudguards, one piece exhausts etc. I already have a red CB250 K0, like the prototype one, but the DK ones is going to be Candy Blue/Green and white.I don't like the solid 'Forest Green' much myself or the 'solid' 'Sardine Blue'. Well nobody's chipped in with a landed price to the UK inc. VAT So here is the simplistic Ashimoto estimate.
If they do end up being decent quality inc double skinned headers then eat your heart out the likes of bikepusher on eBay with their 'Worth 1500GBP 'all day long' asking prices for NOS systems.
750K0 No.No. Yamiya exhausts 165000 Yen= 1338 GBP inc landed in UK 400/4 Downpipes Yamiya 52000 Yen converts to 52/165 x 1338 = 421 GBP 400/4 Silencer Yamiya 28000 Yen convert to 28/165 x 1338 = 227 GBP
Downpipes & silencer = 648 GBP

They do look good quality. I wonder how much P&P is.
Ask David at Saisei for a quote . He's always very reasonable on prices and an official Yamiya agent for Europe. The re-manufacture and supply of these has got to be a milestone in the history of the 400/4 IMHO. Ash

How strange , after them telling you they had no plans to do them pete
Strange yes but two years ago DK told me they would never import CB350 twins in any significant numbers. Now they import shed loads of CB's & CL's

Gonna have to get my finger out and describe, as promised, detailed instructions and sources of materials of how the fix the standard items. Long time since I have done it but if you have and gripes / questions for DS I could send him a list again. Before you chip in Roy --- yes CB350F Sankei pipes

Ash, it is discontinued but try a couple of Yamaha marine people to see if they have any old stock as it seemed to be used a lot on them according to the US sites, they also might have an equivalent. I take it its a high temp laquer?
Cheers will do that it's for cam covers on twins , brake hubs and alloy fork sliders. It was recommended by a CBX resto club. regards Ash

Welcome Paul from a fellow 750K0 owner! I am in Willerby near Hull Yorkshire but my 2 daughters live in Leeds. Dropped one of them their Nissan Micra off last week and got the train back. Just before I left I thought I would check the boot and I had mistakenly left 4 bikes worth of metal parts ( 1x CB750K0, 3x CB250/350K) in the boot being prepped for re-zinc plating . So I was sat at Burley Park station waiting for the train home with two 'Bags for life' full of metal. Weighed a bloody ton or seemed like it. Had arms like Popeye when I got home. Please post pics of your bikes. Ash

Thought you would have realized by now that I am a bit of a nutter Steff. Cheers for opening the bag. A Dutch guy on HondaTwins.net refused to look me up a few part numbers in his rare Honda parts manual for my CB250K0.. said he was too busy and implied that the site is only a forum and not for exchange of data! That's why this forum is so good, we all tend to help each other out if we can.
Seems I have eight straight correct part number ones and no angled ones. So eBaying 4 of the straight ones and hoping to buy angled ones. A single angled one NOS went for 45GBP last week on eBay and you can buy a full set including spark plugs new for 80 from Andy Cepoc.....ludicrous. I guess my 400/4 should have them too as it's a 9/75 reg one. Anyone know if the parts are the same for the 400F?
I guess I am getting hold of them for the same reason you have a new set Steff ..... to make original in the event of a sale in the future. I will fit the Black plastic ones for my own use.
Ash
